Compensation

Wage: $21.00 per hour
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Overtime: Overtime pay applicable in accordance with provincial employment standards

Job Summary

Private household seeking a reliable and caring Nanny / Child Caregiver to provide attentive care for one child. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and caring for the child before and after daycare hours, on weekends, and during periods when parental business obligations require extended work hours. Both parents operate a cleaning business with schedules that frequently require early mornings, evenings, and weekend commitments, limiting their ability to consistently provide direct supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Supervise and care for child in employer’s residence

·         Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the child

·         Assist child with dressing, hygiene, and daily routines

·         Transport/accompany child to and from daycare or activities as required

·         Organize age-appropriate educational and recreational activities

·         Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

·         Provide emotional support and ensure child’s well-being

·         Perform light housekeeping duties related to childcare

·         Assist with general household tidying and cleaning

·         Launder child’s clothing and linens

·         Provide full-day care when child is not attending daycare

Employment Requirements

·         Secondary school completion preferred

·         Experience in housekeeping, caregiving, or household support is considered an asset, but not required

·         Must demonstrate maturity, reliability, and ability to care for a child in a safe and responsible manner

·         First Aid/CPR certification considered an asset

·         Criminal background check may be required

·         Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
