Job duties
· Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine type and thickness of glass, frame, installation procedure and materials required
· Measure and mark glass
· Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolds, rigging and hoisting equipment
· Position glass panes into frames and secure glass using clips, points or mouldings
· Assemble and install prefabricated glass on exteriors of building
· Install pre-cut opaque and transparent glass panels in frames to form exterior walls of buildings
· Replace glass in various products
· Repair and service residential windows, commercial aluminum doors and other glass supporting structures, and replace damaged glass or faulty sealant (glass replacement, window service work, window caulking)
· Use swing stage and bosun chair for the above-noted work
Terms of employment
Permanent, full-time position (30 hours/week)
Expected Employment Start Date: as soon as possible
Wage
$36.75/hour

Skills requirements – Education and Work experience
Education: secondary school required
Work Experience:
Previous experience as glazier – min. 2 years
Demonstrable experience working with a variety of tools
Past experience in working in heights is an asset
Experience working with swing stage and bosun chair is an asset
Fall Protection training certificate required
WHMIS certification required
Language requirements:
Spoken and written English required
