What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AutoCAD Technician who brings both technical expertise and creativity to our cabinetry design and production team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment, can collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and has the ability to translate complex designs into precise shop drawings that support seamless production and installation.
AutoCAD Technician
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, floor plans, and elevations of kitchens, vanities, and cabinetry as provided by management.
- Translate floor plans and orders into 2D and 3D production/shop drawings using AutoCAD for component manufacturing.
- Operate and maintain drafting software, including AutoCAD and K.O.P.S. (Kitchen Order Processing System), to prepare cutting lists for production.
- Ensure accuracy of technical drawings in compliance with design specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.
- Communicate with customers to finalize orders, confirm design changes, and resolve technical concerns.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production staff to deliver precise drawings and ensure timely production.
- Maintain project documentation, drawing records, and revisions according to company and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Completion of a college program in drafting or in a related field such as engineering, architecture, or industrial design.
- At least 3 years of related drafting experience in cabinetry, architectural, or structural projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, and other drafting software is considered an asset.
- Experience with cabinetry production systems such as K.O.P.S. is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Canadian and international drafting standards.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

- Hourly rate: $36.15 per hour.
