Job Opening: Automotive Service Technician (NOC 72410)

Job Duties
As an Automotive Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical vehicle systems;
- Performing scheduled maintenance (oil changes, fluid services, tire rotations, tune-ups);
- Conducting computerized diagnostic testing to troubleshoot and recommend repairs;
- Repairing or replacing components such as brakes, suspensions, clutches, transmissions, driveline, exhaust, and fuel systems;
- Installing, balancing, and aligning tires and wheels;
- Road-testing vehicles to ensure safety and proper performance;
- Maintaining accurate service records and parts usage logs;
- Training and mentoring apprentices, and ensuring compliance with workplace safety procedures.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:
- Completion of secondary school;
- Valid Service Station Mechanic Trade Certification (Automotive Service Technician) is required;
- Minimum of 2–3 years of proven work experience in the automotive repair industry;
- Strong knowledge of suspension, wheel alignment, brake systems, and diagnostic testing;
- Good English communication skills (oral and written).
Terms of Employment
- Wage: $35.00 per hour
- Hours: 42.5 hours per week, overtime after 48 hours
- Full benefits package, including health, dental, and RRSP contributions
- Permanent, full-time employment
