Job duties

• Interior painting – apply coats of paint to different kinds of surfaces – drywall, wood, concrete and metal;
• Prepare surface before painting – removing old paint, sanding, caulking, filling and repairing holes and cracks;
• Protect surfaces and furniture before painting – paper masking, spreading drop cloths, plastic sheets;
• Use spray gun – setting up the gun, spraying and preparing surfaces before spraying;
• Hang wallpaper – scrape and remove old product from the wall, measure, cut and apply wallpaper using special glue and equipment;
• Order paint supplies;
• Assemble and erect scaffolding; and
• Follow safety procedures.

Terms of employment

Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week)

Expected Employment Start Date: as soon as possible

Wage

$36.75/hour

Benefits

4% vacation pay

Location of work

Our business address and various locations in the Whistler area, depending on the jobsite address.

Skills requirements – Education and Work experience

Education: secondary school required

Work Experience:

• Min. three years experience as painter
• Interior painting experience
• Demonstrable experience with a variety of hand and power tools

Language requirements:

Spoken and written English required
