Niagara Falls Animal Medical Centre is hiring a full-time Veterinarian
· Location: 6838 Morrison Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario L2E 6Z8
· Term: Full time, 40 hours/week, permanent
· Salary: $130,000 per year
· Vacation: 12 vacation days / 4.8% of vacation pay
· Language: English

· Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Examining, diagnosing, and treating small animals;
· Prescribing and administering veterinary medications to pets;
· Taking laboratory (blood, urine, and tissue) samples and performing diagnostic tests;
· Performing surgery on small animals, both routine and emergency;
· Providing guidance to the pet owners (clients) regarding feeding, housing, behaviour, hygiene, and general care of animals, as well as prevention and treatment of any diseases or conditions;
· Collaborating with the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care.
Job Requirements for the position are:
· Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with at least 2 years of experience
· Provincial Veterinary full license for Ontario (College of Veterinarians of Ontario)
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
· Ability to practice a high standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
· Ability to work independently, without supervision
· Ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and to the clients
· Have professional comportment and appearance
· Have the ability to always keep the welfare of the pet in the forefront and treat all animals with gentleness and compassion
· Have respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
