Telecommunications Equipment Technician (NOC 72205)

Job duties

• Design, supply, install, and maintain various telecommunications equipment
• Configure operating systems and install software for access to the Internet
• Inspect and test operation of telecommunications equipment
• Install Data Racks/ Rack Management
• Install networking equipment, Wi-Fi, RTLS or Point to Point
• Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment

Terms of employment

Permanent, full-time position (40 hours/week)

Expected Employment Start Date: as soon as possible

Wage

$35.00/hour

Benefits  

2 weeks paid vacation

Registration in the company’s Medical and Dental plan after a three-month waiting period

Skills requirements – Education and Work experience

Education: Secondary school is required. College/university industry related degree is an asset.

Work Experience:

At least 2 years of experience as telecommunications equipment technician or similar is required.

Language requirements:

Spoken and written English is required.
