Job requirements:
Minimum 2 years work experience as a chef, excellent knife skills and solid knowledge of handling raw fish, experience with Japanese cuisine, interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with team members, Customers and vendors.

Hours:
30 to 40 hours per week
Job Duties:
- Prepare and present a variety of traditional sushi and original specialty rolls with consistency and high quality.
- Cook a range of Japanese dishes such as tempura, udon, teriyaki, and donburi, ensuring authenticity and taste.
- Plan, develop, and update menus, including daily, weekly, and seasonal specials, based on ingredient availability and customer preferences.
- Oversee food preparation to ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and hygiene protocols.
- Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff; ensure effective teamwork with front-of-house staff for smooth service operations.
- Provide instruction and guidance to cooks and kitchen staff in the preparation and presentation of Japanese cuisine.
- Manage kitchen inventory by selecting, ordering, and receiving food supplies as needed.
