Specific Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Data & Derivatives, the Full-Stack Data Developer will work on both front-end and back-end development from concept to delivery, to create and improve data dashboards, web solutions, and databases.
The Full-Stack Data Developer is responsible for the following as well as other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of the company:
1. Develop data web applications and dashboards for internal usage:
• Oversee the entire application development cycle including developing, writing, modifying, integrating and testing architecture, design, and deployment.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
• Develop and implement procedures for ongoing revisions
• Collaborate and work with the Data Team and Traders to improve in-house web solutions.
2. Provide technical help on all programming and data projects:
• Conduct tests and analyze data to monitor quality, security, user interface experience and to identify areas for improvement
• Monitor and maintain application functionality
• Assist in code optimization in data science and trading projects.
• Troubleshoot and debug automation and scraping program code.
• Research and stay current in latest trends and software products.
3. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of the company.
Necessary Skills/Qualifications:
Education and Experience
• A minimum of 5 years experience in web development.
• A minimum of a Bachelors Degree, an academic background in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering is considered an asset.
• 3+ years of experience in back-end web frameworks such as Node, Express, and/or Flask.
• 3+ years of experience in front-end development with React, HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript.
• 3+ years of experience in building and working with RESTful APIs.
• 3+ years of experience in working with data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of writing SQL queries and working with databases.
• Experience in writing automated unit testing and web application QA processes.
• Interest or knowledge in data science or data applications considered an asset.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Hybrid – opportunity for 2 days home (Mon/Fri) and 3 days office (Tue/Wed/Thu) on a fixed schedule.
