Quik Fire Protection Ltd. located at 13015 - 57B Avenue, Surrey, BC V3X 2R1, requires
2 Sprinkler System Installers (NOC 72301) on a full-time permanent basis to join them ASAP.
Wage : $36.00 to $38.00 /hour (30 to 40 hours per week)
Job requirements:
Language: English
Secondary school education
Minimum 1 to 2 years related experience
Ability to read & understand blueprints
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to complete documentation with detail and accuracy
Knowledge of hand tools
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift heavy loads (50lbs)
Job description:
· Install fire sprinkler systems for residential & commercial projects.
· Test system for leaks using testing equipment.
· Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system.
· Select type and size of pipe required.
· Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines.
· Install supports, valves, piping and control systems.
· Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system.
· Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment.
· Test system for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment.
· Service and repair sprinkler system.
· Installs valves, alarms and associated equipment.
· Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment.
· Select, measure, cut, ream and thread pipe.
· install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports.
· Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools.
· Ensure all work is executed using safe work practices.
