Cellar Master (NOC 92012)

Job duties 

Responsible for daily operations of the cellar.

Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of the cellar workers.

Work with the head brewer to create packaging plans and cellaring schedules.

Monitor fermentation, conditioning, and dry hopping.

Keep extensive records and manage inventory and bottling demands.

Prepare production reports.

Train staff in job duties and safety procedures.

Offer the occasional tour.

Take daily logs and pH readings.

Transfer beer between tanks.

Cap tanks as the beer nears the end of fermentation.

Purge fermenter and brite tanks.

Sanitize equipment and ensure the cellar is always clean.

Know the harvest in-and-out.  

Terms of employment

Permanent, full-time, 40 hours/week. 

Expected Employment Start Date: as soon as possible 

Wage 

$25/h

Skills requirements – Education and Work experience 

Education: 

Secondary school required

Certificate in brewing and/or malting is an asset 

Work Experience: 

2 years of experience as cellar master required

Canning line experience required 

Language requirements: 

Spoken and written English required
