Kitchen Designers

BFJ Design is seeking  two experienced and skilled Kitchen Designers to join our team as soon as possible. These are full-time positions (40 hours per week) and permanent for the right individuals. Our business is fast-paced and we offer our customers high-quality kitchen and bathroom cabinets.

Wages are $30.00 per hour plus two weeks paid vacation and health benefits after three-month probation.

Job Requirements:

1. Experience: at least 3 years of experience designing cabinets

2. Language: Excellent English language is required (speaking, reading and writing)

3. Education: Minimum college diploma in design; university degree is a definite asset

4. Must be proficient with design software such as AutoCAD and Sketch Up

5. Creativity and technical expertise is required, with strong attention to detail

6. Experience with European cabinet brands is an asset

Job Duties: 

• Design cabinetry and coordinate with the factory and the site manager
• Develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, cabinets, lighting and appliances
• Develop drawings and advise on selection of colours, finishes and materials of cabinets, taking into account site measurements, appliance sizes and specifications
• Prepare detailed site measurement and design interior space
• May estimate costs and materials as required
