Cha Baa Thai restaurant is looking to fill 2 positions of Kitchen Supervisors for their busy Thai kitchens at their various locations in HRM.
Position: Contract, Permanent, Full time with overtime as needed
Salary: $17.00/hr for minimum of 40 hours per week
Locations: Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), Nova Scotia
Education: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Language: Speak, Read, Write – English; fluency in Thai is an asset
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Tasks
- Establish methods to meet work schedules
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies
- Hire food service staff
- Ensure food service and quality control
- Prepare budget and cost estimates
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
- Prepare food order summaries for chef
- Must have knowledge of Thai cuisine
- Establish work schedules
